ISO 14001 - Environmental Management Systems

Protecting the environments we work in, above and below the surface.

Operating in marine and coastal environments comes with a responsibility we take seriously. Our ISO 14001 accreditation reflects our commitment to minimising environmental impact and continuously improving our environmental performance.

From operational planning and waste management to fuel handling and environmental risk mitigation, we work proactively to reduce our footprint while delivering practical outcomes for our clients.

The ocean is our workplace, but it’s also part of who we are. We believe commercial operations and environmental responsibility should go hand in hand — because looking after the water you work in just makes sense.

ISO 45001 - OH&S Management Systems

Safety isn’t a slogan here; it’s operational culture.

Commercial diving and marine operations are inherently high-risk industries, which is why safety is embedded into every aspect of how we work. Our ISO 45001 accreditation demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of occupational health, safety, and risk management.

This certification reflects the systems we’ve built to protect our team, clients, and contractors — from robust hazard identification and training programs to continuous safety improvement across all operations.

At Aegir, we believe the best crews are the ones that go home safely at the end of every job. No ego, no complacency, no cutting corners. Just disciplined professionals who know that safety and performance are inseparable.

Potable Water & Reservoir Diving

Aegir Divers delivers specialist diving and inspection services to support water authorities, utilities, and infrastructure operators in maintaining the integrity of potable water assets.

Across Australia, we help ensure tanks and reservoirs remain safe, compliant, and capable of delivering clean drinking water to households, businesses, and communities.

Over time, potable water assets face inevitable challenges—sediment build-up, coating breakdown, corrosion, structural defects, or component failures. If left unresolved, these can impact water quality, reduce the service life of infrastructure, and increase operational risk. This is where Aegir Divers steps in. Our team inspects, maintains, and repairs these critical assets from within, addressing issues directly at their source while avoiding unnecessary downtime or service interruptions.

Working in potable water environments demands an uncompromising commitment to cleanliness and safety. We implement stringent contamination-control protocols for every project, ensuring all divers, equipment, and processes meet or exceed regulatory and industry standards. This protects not only the water supply, but also the trust placed in our clients by the communities they serve.

Our potable water services include inspections, crack detection and repairs, valve replacement, anode installation, and servicing of internal operating equipment. To maximise efficiency and safety, we utilise a combination of our own underwater ROV and collaborative support from BASS STRAIT SUBSEA for advanced remotely operated inspections. These initial ROV assessments allow us to identify priorities, plan dives more precisely, reduce costs, and expedite completion without compromising quality.

By combining highly trained ADAS-accredited divers, advanced inspection technology, and a deep understanding of potable water operations, Aegir Divers ensures these vital systems remain safe, reliable, and ready to meet the needs of the communities they serve.

Aids to Navigation

Aegir Divers provides a complete range of services for both anchored navigation aids and navigation piles, ensuring these critical assets remain operational, safe, and reliable.

Our work spans initial installation, scheduled maintenance, and urgent call-outs, whether for government-owned infrastructure or privately operated facilities such as marinas.

We conduct annual inspections of navigation systems, offering expert advice on tackle design and deployment suited to the location’s depth, exposure, and buoy design. Our team is also on standby for emergency call-outs to address failed beacons or the loss of buoys due to tackle failure. When buoys are displaced, we assist with redeployment to restore safe navigation as quickly as possible.

Our divers perform detailed structural assessments above and below the waterline, identifying deterioration, damage, or marine growth that could compromise visibility or functionality. Using high-pressure seawater blasters, we carry out regular cleaning to remove fouling and restore asset performance. We apply these same skills to navigation piles, ensuring they remain stable, visible, and fit for purpose in all conditions.

In addition to maintenance, Aegir Divers supports the installation of updates and modifications that improve safety and streamline future inspections. This includes fitting upgraded components, adapting systems to new regulatory requirements, and refining designs to extend service life.

With deep expertise in mooring tackle systems, fabrication capabilities, and the practical experience of countless deployments, we deliver tailored solutions for every site, backed by a commitment to keeping waterways safe for all users.
